When you first push open the door of Esom Pharmacy shop, you might think you've come to the wrong place - this is not the kind of pharmacy you remember, filled with cold and hard glass cabinets and giving off a smell of disinfectant? The warm yellow light descended along the "big tree-shaped" decorative column in the center. The light wood-colored cabinets spread out along the arc of the ground, complemented by the low-saturation lake blue walls. Even the air felt a bit less "tense". Later, after walking around for a while, I found that the wood-grain cabinets here were not "decorative items" at all, but rather a combination of "good looks" and "practical needs of pharmacies".

Traditional pharmacies always prefer cold white and metal cabinets, as if they were eager to write "professionalism" on every inch of the cold and hard material. However, Esom Pharmacy takes the opposite approach: The main color of the cabinet is light natural wood, paired with white cabinet bodies and lake blue walls. The "tree-shaped column" made of laminated wood grain boards in the center serves as the visual center, immediately blending the "rigor of medical space" with the "relaxation of natural space".

The wood grain is a warm and light color, unlike dark walnut wood which appears heavy and oppressive. The white cabinet body is responsible for "brightening up" to prevent the space from feeling stuffy. The lake blue walls perfectly balance the "softness" of the wood grain, retaining the tidiness that a pharmacy should have. Even first-time visitors would feel that "this place is neither like a warehouse nor a hospital, but rather like a comfortable community store."

1. First floor common area: an arc-shaped display case surrounding the "big tree".
The most eye-catching feature on the first floor is the display cabinet surrounding the central tree-shaped column: with light natural wood color as the frame and transparent glass shelves, the arc just follows the walking route of people - there is no need to deliberately bend over or stretch out your arms; just walk around the shelves once and you can easily get the items you want.
These display cabinets have another detail: the height of the shelves is adjustable, allowing for the placement of small bottles of health products as well as large packages of household medicines. The bottom of the cabinet is not completely touching the ground, leaving a little gap. This not only makes cleaning easier but also makes the space appear lighter. The small round table beside it also has wood-grain legs of the same color. On the table are placed sample products, which are connected to the display cabinet, like a "small experience area".

2.Front Desk & Prescription Area
The cabinets in the front desk area are "practical first", but they do not lose their appearance level: the white counter top is clean and neat, and the bottom edge is sealed with wood grain of the same color as the display cabinet, immediately connecting with the overall style. The drawers under the counter are very finely stratified. From the small square classification folders to the large packaged medicine bags, each has its corresponding position.

The red drawer cabinet standing beside the front desk is particularly eye-catching - it is a special classification cabinet for prescription drugs. Each drawer is clearly marked with a category, allowing pharmacists to quickly locate them without having to rummage through. The built-in shelves beside the cabinet also have wood grain frames, with commonly used over-the-counter drugs placed inside. They can be taken out at will without looking messy.
Above the prescription area, there is a sign that reads "Prescriptions & Advice". The cabinets below are semi-enclosed: one half is transparent shelves for displaying commonly used medicines, and the other half is a closed cabinet for storing more private medicines, which takes into account both practicality and the feelings of customers.

3. Consultation area on the second floor
As soon as you go up to the second floor, you can see the door of the consultation room. The surrounding cabinets feature a "simplified" wood grain design: mainly white cabinets, with only light wood-colored lines added to the door handles and edges. This not only avoids stealing the "quietness" of the consultation room but also maintains a consistent style with the first floor.
The railing on the second floor is made of glass and metal, but the base at the bottom is wrapped with wood grain, echoing the cabinets downstairs. Even for an "auxiliary area" like the second floor, it doesn't cause a design gap; instead, it seems to extend the "natural feel" of the first floor along the wood grain.

4. Dispensing/Storage area
The "back-end" dispensing area of a Pharmacy is often a cold stack of shelves, but Esom Pharmacy's shop storage area has a "little trick" : an entire wall of white shelves, with fine wood grain strips added along the edges, instantly softening the "warehouse feel". The workbench in the middle has a wood-grain top, and the drawers below are clearly layered. From small tools for dispensing tablets to large insulated boxes for refrigerated medicines, you can find their corresponding positions.
The most practical feature is the "modular design" of the shelves: the height of the shelves can be adjusted according to the size of the medicine. The lower shelves can hold small medicine bottles, while the higher ones can be used to store large quantities of consumables. Even newly arrived medicine can quickly find a suitable storage place - it not only retains the "neatness" of the pharmacy's storage but also uses wood grain to reduce the "coldness".

What impressed me the most was the echo between "wood grain" and "natural elements" : the tree-shaped decorative column in the center is made of wood grain itself, and the lights embedded at the top resemble "tree shade". The green plant background wall on the wall just matches the "natural feel" of the wood grain perfectly. Even the sofas in the rest area are light green, placed together with the wood grain, making it feel like sitting in a park waiting for medicine.
