I just finished a project for an ice cream shop. When I opened the design drawing, my eyes were immediately "drawn" by that patch of purple - this ice cream shop is not the dazzling bright purple, but a soft purple wrapped in the texture of milk fufu, mixed with a few touches of the clear mint green. As soon as I stepped into the store, even the air seemed to be soaked in the sweet aroma of ice cream. Purple has not been a rare color in dining Spaces in the past two years, but it's the first time I've seen one that can so closely match the essence of "purple" and an "ice cream shop".

Many designers are most afraid of using purple as the theme when designing because it may seem dull. However, the smart part of this store is that it has split the purple into a combination of "gradient + zoning", which is not monotonous at all.
Looking at the space of this ice cream shop, the main color is a layering of lavender purple and deep purple: the ceiling uses a lighter lavender purple color, combined with wavy arcs, and soft light strips are embedded at the edges - not dazzling direct light, but a "soft and bright" feeling like melting purple sweet potato ice cream. When looking up, you won't feel oppressed, but rather a bit like stepping into the folds of an ice cream cone. The walls are in a darker shade of purple, such as the vertical wall behind the booth, which has a texture like velvet. Standing there, it naturally exudes a "sweet and refined" atmosphere.
Even better is the "neutral color" combination: light grey wood-grain tiles were chosen for the floor, and the soft texture just suppresses the rich purple, preventing the entire space from "floating". The pillars have a white base, with only a deep purple border outlined at the bottom, as if providing a "breathing hole" for the space. Even the background wall of the display area is mixed with small white square bricks, which are joined together with purple brick patterns. It has the warmth of a dessert shop without looking messy.

The lighting in an ice cream shop is never as simple as "illuminating the place" - it has to make the desserts look more inviting and make the space smell "sweet". The lighting in this store is just like adding a layer of frosting to the purple color.
First, there is the echo of the ambient lighting: The wavy edge of the ceiling is embedded with light purple light strips. When the light spreads out, the entire ceiling seems to be wrapped in a layer of gossamer. The circular light on the pillar has a mint green edge, which perfectly matches the color of the booth, as if adding a touch of coolness to the sweetness. Then there are the details of the chandeliers: some have purple conical covers with golden edges, while others have mint green spherical covers. These not only echo the theme color but also add a touch of refinement with a metallic texture - after all, ice cream itself is "delicate sweetness".
The most eye-catching part is the lighting in the display area: the light above the glass cabinet is warm white light, shining on the frosting of the doughnuts and the cream of the cakes, even making the texture of the pastries appear fluffy and soft. The shelves on the background wall are also embedded with small lights, which perfectly complement the luster of the glass cups and bottled beverages, without overshadowing the desserts, yet making the entire area look "very appetizing". And there's that neon logo "o 'DOE", with purple characters wrapped in white borders. When pasted on the wall, even passers-by at night can smell its sweet fragrance.

First, let's take a look at the booth: The purple sofa is made of vertical fabric. It should feel like a half-melted ice cream cone, soft and fluffy. The curvature of the backrest fits the body just right. As soon as you sit there, you want to collapse and eat an ice cream cone. Even more coincidentally, the small mint green sofa, when placed in the purple pile, instantly "breathed a breath" - like having a bite of mint candy with chocolate ice cream, sweet yet refreshing, perfectly balancing the richness of the purple.
The details of the table are also very ingenious: a white tabletop and golden table legs. It's not the bulky metallic feel but the delicate "little legs", which perfectly match the exquisite feel of desserts. The desktop is also printed with a light purple "o 'DOE" logo, which can be touched with a hint of sweetness even when you lower your head. Even the decorative paintings on the wall were not neglected: they depict ice cream and cupcakes, with colors of pinkish purple and light green, completely in harmony with the space's tone. Just by looking up, one can't help but want to order the same dessert.
The glass cabinet is designed with white and purple edges, which is in harmony with the overall color tone but does not steal the show. The doughnuts, cakes and mousse inside the glass are in warm yellow, light brown and pink white. When placed in front of the purple background, they instantly appear more fluffy and inviting. At the bottom of the cabinet, there are also light purple strips embedded, shining from bottom to top, making even the shadows of the pastries appear gentle.
The background wall of the exhibition area is also thoughtfully designed: on the purple shelves, there are glass cups and ceramic jars, all in low-saturation white and light brown colors, neatly arranged like a row of "sweet containers". The menu board beside is in color, but the main colors are still purple and green. Even the pictures of the beverages echo the space. When placing an order, one feels that "every item should be tried."

From the perspective of sensory association: purple inherently carries the labels of "romance and refinement", which perfectly aligns with the "leisure and pleasure" attributes of ice cream. The soft purple ice cream used in this store itself is like purple sweet potato or taro flavored ice cream. Just by looking at the color, one can associate it with a "sweet and glutinous" texture.
From the perspective of color psychology: purple is a "sweet with a sense of distance" - not as passionate as red, nor as childish as pink. It just hits the mark of "wanting relaxation and refinement at the same time", making it suitable for couples' dates and casual chats with friends. The mint green accent serves as a "refreshing buffer", preventing the purple from being too heavy. It's like the "de-greasing flavor" in ice cream, ensuring that the "sweetness" in the entire space doesn't make people feel greasy.
