1. MDF

Which is called a Medium-density fibreboard. Usually used in display cabinets that need to make various shapes or have a circular arc process. Or in a candy store with a wide variety of colors, which facilitates the subsequent surface process.

Features:

• The surface of MDF is very smooth and very suitable for the baking paint process.
• MDF has no gaps, so the cut edges look smooth without voids or chips.
• Since the edges are smooth, you can use routers to create decorative edges.
• The consistency and softness of MDF allow you to easily make any shape.
• Like particleboard, MDF will absorb water and other liquids and expand like a sponge unless all sides and edges are properly sealed.
• MDF is very heavy and difficult to work with due to its density.

2. Plywood

It is a three-layer or multi-layer board material made of wood segments that are cut into veneers or sliced ​​into veneers, and then glued together with adhesives, usually with odd layers of veneers, and adjacent layers of veneers The fiber directions are glued perpendicular to each other.

Plywood is made of multiple layers of wood veneer and is a very strong material.

• It does not absorb water and liquids as quickly or easily as MDF, so it is less susceptible to water damage.
• Because of its texture, plywood can be stained. This makes it ideal for kitchen cabinets, table tops and other projects that require large areas of stained wood.
• Due to the different wood grains of each layer, it can hold the screws very firmly.
• Plywood is more expensive than MDF, although the higher the grade, the higher the price, depending on the type of wood.
• Due to the number of layers shown on the edges, the plywood must be finished with ironing tape, wood, or decorative material.
• It is more difficult to get a perfectly smooth cut with plywood than with MDF.

3. Flame Retardant Board, also known as the flame retardant board, includes flame retardant density board, flame retardant plywood, etc. It is a wood-based panel made by adding flame retardants to the board production line through a complex process of the production process of wood-based panels. Other features are the same as plywood.

4. Baking Paint

For cabinets made of MDF, the common surface treatment process is baking paint. 5. For plywood, the surface treatment process is very diverse. We can use:

Laminated, which can be divided into the most preferred high-pressure laminate or HPL and the less durable low-pressure laminate or LPL.
