When you are shopping in the mall, do you always look for a soothing corner where you can enjoy delicious food easily? Ben & Jerry's has launched a new mall ice cream kiosk, which not only offers you delicious ice cream but also integrates the concept of grass into the design of the on-site ice cream kiosk, making it both beautiful and practical.

Design Soul: Bringing "Rural Genes" into the Mall

The cows, green grasslands, and colorful ice cream of Ben & Jerry's are already natural visual symbols. The design team disassembled and reorganized these elements:

  • Visual Memory Points: A banner featuring the cow theme suspended in the air, responding to the brand's spirit with "Peace, Love & Ice Cream", instantly capturing attention;
  • Color Magic: The main color of the counter continues the brand's blue and green color scheme, combined with natural wood texture, creating a "soft and cute oasis" in the cold and hard mall.
  • Cute Easter Eggs: The cow sculpture beside the booth and the cow-patterned benches in the seating area hide the "rural genes" in the details, making even adults unable to resist a smile.ice cream booth

Counter System: Triple Design

The core of the ice cream station - the poster visually captures attention, the delicious ice cream tantalizes the taste buds, and the service touches the customers in a set combination, all  contain ingenious insights from consumer psychology:

  • Front Area - Visual Bombardment Zone: The transparent ice cream freezer acts like a "sweet display window", with more than ten flavors of ice cream balls shining under low temperature; the adjacent electronic menu screen continuously plays the production scenes of waffles and milkshakes, and the aroma seems to overflow through the screen.
  • Middle Area - Interactive Operation Zone: The open operation counter is completely exposed, and the actions of employees scooping balls and pouring sauces are clearly visible, "real-time production feeling" fully boosts trust; waffles, chocolate chips, and other ingredients are placed on the easily accessible wooden shelves, and when passing by, one can't help but think "add an extra portion";
  • Back Area - Efficiency Support Zone: The refrigerators silently store beverages and raw materials, and the intelligent ice-making machine and milk frothing machine are arranged in an orderly manner, ensuring supply during peak periods while keeping the space from looking messy - after all, no one wants to see the ice cream station filled with boxes.

Seating Area: Incorporating Social Feel into the Design

Unlike traditional fast-selling stalls, this seating area here is more like an art form:

Correspondence between materials and symbols: The cow-patterned round cushions resemble clouds scattered across a pasture, the curved wooden chairs with their warm texture counterbalance the coldness of the shopping mall; Green plants peeking out from the corners subtly soften the spatial boundaries.

Careful layout details: Round tables are suitable for 2-3 people to have a small gathering, curved long benches can accommodate more people, the semi-open design ensures privacy (no one passing by can directly see them), while maintaining transparency (always able to observe the mall's dynamics).

Scene adaptability: Tired tourists, couples on a date, parents with children... Different groups of people can all find a comfortable seating position. Eating ice cream is no longer a "quickly resolving while walking around" fast consumption behavior, but a "can slow down" little happiness.

Equipment Philosophy: Utilizing Space in a Concealed Manner

Delicious ice cream cannot be enjoyed without the assistance of precise temperature control and efficient circulation equipment:

The ice cream freezer employs a professional-level temperature control system, maintaining a constant temperature of -18°C to preserve freshness, ensuring that each scoop melts as soon as you dig into it, with a smooth and creamy texture.

The ordering machine, cash register system, and raw material preparation area are seamlessly connected, allowing staff to obtain raw materials with a simple turn, resulting in quick service while maintaining a sense of ceremony.

Even the trash cans and plant pots are unified in the brand color scheme, allowing the "design" to permeate every corner - after all, who would refuse an ice cream stand that is so meticulously designed in every detail?

It is not just an ice cream stand; it is also a miniature space that allows people to temporarily escape their fatigue and heal their souls with sweetness.
