Cultural relics are the living relics of ancestors, and they are the embodiment of the manufacturing level of ancient society. Protecting cultural relics is equivalent to protecting the glorious history of the nation, and it is equivalent to inheriting the culture of the nation. In recent years, people's awareness of the protection of cultural relics has been continuously deepened, and they have also deeply realized the cultural value and historical status of cultural relics, and the requirements for the protection of cultural relics are also getting higher and higher. What do we need to pay attention to when buying museum display cabinets?

The museum display cabinet is a special piece of equipment for museums specially used to display and preserve cultural relics. It is different from ordinary display cabinets and has higher requirements for cultural relics exhibition and safety protection. When we choose museum display cabinets, we have special requirements for their performance. Let me introduce to you below:

  1. The shape and size of the museum display cabinet should meet the requirements, and the size error should be controlled by plus or minus 1.5mm. The workmanship should be fine, the appearance should be flawless, and the gaps and lines should be even and symmetrical;
  2. The materials used in the production of museum display cabinets are environmentally friendly materials, and corresponding product testing reports should be issued when selecting to avoid contamination of cultural relics caused by inferior display cabinets.
  3. The display space of the museum display cabinet must be a completely airtight structure to prevent the entry of some fine pollution particles, and at the same time, the air exchange in the display cabinet should be maintained.
  4. The display cabinets used in most museums must have a certain anti-theft property and must be equipped with special locks to facilitate management.
  5. If the transparent glass is used in the display cabinet, it is best to use laminated ultra-white high-transparency glass. And there should be no scratches on the glass, and it should be able to withstand an impact force of about 50kg. Even if the glass is broken due to external factors, it cannot cause damage to the cultural relics or the audience. Usually, the light transmittance of the glass used in the display cabinet should reach more than 90% to ensure that the cultural relics can be displayed in their truest color;
  6. According to the different types of cultural relics, it is necessary to configure a special constant humidity system independently. It is used to automatically control the humidity change in the showcase and has a better protection effect on cultural relics.
  7. Museum display cabinets need to be equipped with special lighting equipment, which can better highlight the color of cultural relics and dilute the existence of light in other parts and light sources without causing damage to cultural relics. In addition, while not affecting the audience's viewing, it is also necessary to ensure that the lighting equipment has certain concealment, so that the cultural relics have a better display effect.
