The moment you push open the door of this coffee shop named "NOSTALGIA", you are immediately enveloped in a "gentle" atmosphere - not the kind of deliberately made-up warm light that is popular on social media, but rather a "just-right warmth" that permeates from the walls, tables and chairs to the lighting. Looking through the photos I took when I came back, I suddenly felt that its design was exactly like a "warm-toned coffee shop floor template". I simply broke it down into five steps to show friends who want to open a coffee store how a warm-toned coffee shop like this is designed. Here are five steps.

Warm tones don't mean turning everything yellow. The basic formula of this store is "low-saturation colors + temperature-sensitive materials + layered lighting", with every step focused on "comfort" :
The color option is "Milk Warm" : The wall is a beige with added grayscale, like diluted caramel milk, not a glaring bright yellow. The floor is covered with light grey marble-patterned tiles, but a warm-toned texture was deliberately chosen. Additionally, there is a circle of warm yellow light strips hidden in the skirting board - look at the light under the display cabinet in the picture, it just makes the floor soft and does not make the marble look cold.
"balance between warm and cool" : The light wood color is the core (for the table and chair frames, shelf boards, and part of the ceiling), but it is not all wood color. Instead, it is mixed with marble (for the display counter surface) and black metal (for the shelf supports and ceiling pipe covers) - for example, the display cabinet is made of transparent glass and marble countertop, with metal frames as support and wood-colored shelves at the back to provide warmth. It has a sense of texture without being "too wooden and stuffy".
"layered and not dazzling" :There is no large chandelier installed, but instead, there are built-in small spotlights (with a color temperature of 3000K, creating soft light spots when they hit the wall) + suspended glass ball lights (above the display area, with warm light wrapped in a transparent shell, just illuminating the shelves) + local light strips (at the operation area and the bottom of the display cabinet) - such as the golden reflective area on the ceiling, where the warm light will diffuse when it hits it The light throughout the entire space is "wrapped up", and it won't prick the eyes like cold light.

Warm tones should not just be piled up at the entrance. Every area should be filled with a sense of warmth while also being practical. The store is divided into sections: "Display & ordering → operation → seating → storage", with a smooth flow that requires no thinking
Make the "attraction" visible: As soon as you enter, you'll see a long transparent display cabinet lined with macarons and chocolates. The lights inside the cabinet are warm white light (highlighting the color of the desserts without overemphasizing the overall warm tone). The display cabinet is connected to a balcony, with a marble countertop that serves as an ordering counter. As you can see in the picture, there are packaged products printed with "NOSTALGIA" on the shelves beside the display cabinet. The warm light shines on the paper boxes, and even the packaging becomes an atmosphere prop.
The scattered seating area is close to the display cabinet, featuring small round tables made of light wood and soft-padded chairs in light gray (the chair legs are in the natural wood color and the soft-padded chairs are in low-saturation gray, which perfectly neutralize the coldness of the marble floor). The distance between the tables is half a meter, so it won't be crowded.
The inner side is the sofa area, featuring beige soft chairs and a small square table, with matching color cushions. Look at the sofa in the picture. The fabric is matte cotton and linen texture, without the "distance" of glossy materials. Once you sit there, you want to stay for another half an hour.
The wall is equipped with built-in shelves (wooden frames + black shelves), where coffee beans and peripheral products are placed. This not only saves space but also makes the "products" serve as decoration. For instance, the boxes on the shelves are uniformly in light tones, matching the colors of the wall and tables and chairs, thus avoiding the disruption of the atmosphere like a messy container.

The mirror is a "space amplifier + warm light reflector" : Long wooden frame mirrors are installed against the wall in the casual seating area. Not only does it double the width of the space, but it also reflects the warm light and yellow orchids from the opposite display area. Sitting in the casual seating area and looking up, you can see the flickering warm light and flowers, making the waiting time for coffee feel softer.
For the floral arrangement, choose "low-saturation warm color tones" : A few yellow orchids are placed on the countertop in the operation area, and the flowerpots are light brown terracotta types, which perfectly match the wooden tables and chairs. I didn't choose a large bunch of flowers, but the small branches didn't steal the spotlight, like "gentleness casually placed".
The product display is in a "uniform warm tone" : The "NOSTALGIA" cartons and bottled water on the shelves are all in light white and light brown tones, and even the coffee machine is beige (the Swiss brand model) - look at the operation area in the picture, the coffee machine and the wall color almost blend together, and it won't "pop out" and spoil the atmosphere like a black machine.

The operation area is "convenient and dirt-resistant" : Double stainless steel sinks (separate for washing cups and tools), the countertop is made of scratch-resistant stainless steel, and the shelves beside it are clearly stratified (cups on the upper layer, coffee beans on the middle layer, and tools on the lower layer) - look at the operation area in the picture. The dark cabinet doors are just dirt-resistant and echo the black metal shelves without disrupting the warm tone.
The seating area "caters to lazy people and those with social anxiety" : Sockets are left under the individual tables (although no pictures were taken, they can be felt when actually sitting), and the small square tables in the sofa area are just right for a computer. The individual seating area and the sofa area are gently separated by display cabinets, creating a sense of boundary without being closed.
The lighting is "adjusted by function" : The lights in the operation area are slightly bright warm white light (convenient for making coffee), the seating area is soft spotlights (not dazzling), and the display cabinet is focused warm light (highlighting desserts) - the layered lighting not only meets the functions but also does not make the light "messy".

The logo is uniformly "warm and simple" : from the paper boxes on the shelves to the "NOSTALGIA" signboard on the wall, they are all in the same bold font, with a light brown color that echoes the wall, without any fancy designs.
The atmosphere and the products complement each other: The macarons sold are in low-saturation color schemes (light pink, light blue), which are consistent with the color tone of the space. Even the menu is made of light beige paper with black text. When held in hand, it is in harmony with the warmth of the entire store.
It is the "unintentional warmth" that retains customers: It doesn't stick "warmth" slogans on the walls or pile up plush decorations. Instead, it allows you to feel the "warmth" from the light when you open the door, the chair you sit on, and the coffee cup you hold in your hand. This "permeating warmth" is what makes guests remember that "this store is comfortable to sit in".
